Marumerizing or Spheronizing Spheronisation is the process where extrudates are shaped into rounded or spherical granules. The machines in which this process takes place are called "spheronisers", but also the name "Marumerizers" is often used. Marumerizer™ is the name given by the Japanese inventors of Fuji Paudal to the first spheronisation machines and translated it means “round maker”.
